Job Full Description
The Supply Chain Technician is responsible for performing technical, operational, and support functions within the Supply Chain Department to ensure the efficient flow of supplies throughout the hospital. This role supports patient care by maintaining accurate inventory levels, timely distribution of materials, and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform technical supply chain functions including receiving, stocking, distribution, and inventory management
- Ensure accurate documentation and data entry within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and other hospital applications
- Support daily supply chain operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Prioritize job duties to meet departmental and organizational needs
- Communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and team members
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Operate hospital vehicles as required to transport supplies
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, or equivalent education, training, or experience required
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in supply chain, logistics, materials management, or a related field required
Licensure and Certifications
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required for all Supply Chain Technicians
Skills and Qualifications
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a potentially challenging hospital environment
- Intermediate computer skills required, including proficiency with ERP systems and other technological applications
- Ability to perform intermediate-level mathematical functions
Additional Information
- A valid driver’s license is required for all Supply Chain roles. Driver’s license requirements for positions outside of Supply Chain may vary based on departmental needs.
- This position may require flexibility in scheduling based on hospital operational needs.
