Job Full Description
We are seeking skilled and safety-conscious Welders to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and components using various welding techniques. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of welding processes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Welding & Fabrication
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols
- Set up welding equipment and select appropriate materials and techniques
- Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux-Core welding on steel, aluminum, or other metals
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components
- Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and quality using visual and mechanical methods
Equipment & Safety
- Operate grinders, cutters, and other metalworking tools
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and proper ventilation
- Identify and report hazards or equipment malfunctions promptly
Documentation & Collaboration
- Complete job orders and maintain accurate production records
- Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and supervisors to meet project specifications
- Assist in training junior welders or apprentices as needed
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certified welding program or apprenticeship
- 2+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and welding codes
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS (American Welding Society) certification
- Experience with robotic welding systems or CNC plasma cutting
- Familiarity with structural steel, pipe welding, or custom fabrication
- Bilingual is a plus, but not required
