Job Full Description
We seek experienced, professional, hard-working, and dedicated Dental Assistants/Orthodontic Dental Assistants with at least three years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting with oral surgeries, excel at multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and be flexible with working long hours as needed. This career starts part-time and will pivot to full-time quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including surgical interventions, to ensure patient comfort and maintain an efficient workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up the necessary equipment, and ensuring all materials are readily available.
- Take and develop X-rays, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Educate patients on postoperative care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment plans.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks, including scheduling, inventory management, and assisting with front-office duties as needed.
- Uphold strict adherence to infection control and OSHA guidelines.
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, patient care, and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- At least three years of experience as a Dental Assistant, with a strong emphasis on surgical procedures.
- Certification from an accredited Dental Assisting program.
- Current CPR certification and knowledge of dental software are preferred.
- Exceptional multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and staff.
- Flexibility and willingness to work extended hours when necessary to meet patient and office needs.
