Job Full Description
The Payroll Specialist plays a key role in ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing and will report to the Accounting Director. This position is responsible for organizing and processing time records, addressing payroll-related inquiries, and maintaining payroll data integrity. The role requires a strong understanding of payroll functions, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and process employee time records, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Review and respond to wage and employment verification requests.
- Validate CRM reports to ensure data accuracy before interfacing with the payroll system.
- Enter pay and employee demographic information into the payroll system.
- Support payroll tax and fringe benefits processing as required.
- Collaborate with the payroll team to address and resolve payroll-related issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with company policies and payroll regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, certificate of completion, GED, or equivalent training/experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing or a related field.
- General knowledge of payroll functions, including tax compliance and fringe benefits administration.
- Proficiency with payroll systems and timekeeping software, including CRM, is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
