Compensation

Position Summary
The Inventory Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records across raw materials, packaging, and finished goods for food distribution company. This role analyzes inventory movements, reconciles variances, supports cycle count and physical inventory programs, and provides actionable insights to improve inventory accuracy, service levels, and working capital. The analyst partners with Warehouse, Procurement, Customer Service, and Finance to ensure product availability and timely, high-quality deliveries to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Accuracy & Control
- Monitor daily inventory transactions (receipts, transfers, adjustments, production consumption, shipments) to ensure accuracy in the ERP/WMS.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, negative balances, and transaction errors.
- Maintain item master attributes affecting inventory (UOM, pack sizes, pallet configuration, lot codes, shelf life, FEFO/FIFO rules).
- Ensure proper lot/batch tracking and date-code integrity for food products.
Cycle Counts & Physical Inventories
- Execute cycle count schedule for high-volume and high-value SKUs.
- Coordinate with warehouse leadership to perform counts with minimal disruption.
- Analyze count results, determine root causes of variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Support annual physical inventory and provide post-inventory variance reporting.
Analysis, Reporting, and Optimization
- Maintain inventory KPIs and recurring reports (accuracy %, inventory turns, aging/slow movers, shrink/write-offs, service levels).
- Provide weekly/monthly inventory reporting to Operations and Finance.
- Identify excess/obsolete inventory and recommend actions (promotions, transfers, supplier returns, production timing adjustments).
- Support replenishment planning through review of historical usage, seasonality, and forecast impacts.
Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with Procurement to validate inbound quantities, PO accuracy, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with Production/Co-Packers to reconcile usage, yields, and finished goods outputs.
- Work with Customer Service/Sales to address allocation issues and prevent stockouts.
- Assist with continuous improvement projects to strengthen inventory processes and warehouse efficiency.
Compliance & Food Safety
- Follow company policies and regulatory requirements related to food safety and traceability.
- Support audits (internal/external), including documentation for lot traceability, holds, and recalls.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Analytics, Finance, or related field OR equivalent relevant experience.
- 1–3 years of inventory analysis/control experience in warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or CPG/food environments.
- Understanding of inventory concepts: cycle counts, reconciliation, FEFO/FIFO, lot control, shrink, and inventory valuation.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
- Experience working with ERP/WMS systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food or specialty CPG with shelf-life/date-code management.
- Familiarity with traceability/recall documentation and audit support.
- Power BI/Tableau or advanced reporting skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Warehouse/office hybrid environment; regular time on warehouse floor.

Schedule
- Full-time, on-site in Plant City.
- Occasional early/late hours during physical inventories or peak seasons.
