Job Title: Manufacturing Custodian

Position Summary
The Manufacturing Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized production environment. This role supports overall operations by ensuring all work areas, equipment, and common spaces meet cleanliness and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production floors, restrooms, break rooms, and office areas
- Remove trash, recyclables, and production waste in a timely manner
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors using industrial cleaning equipment
- Maintain cleanliness around machinery and production lines (following safety guidelines)
- Restock supplies such as paper products, soap, and cleaning materials
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals
- Identify and report maintenance or safety issues to supervisors
- Support production team with general housekeeping duties as needed
- Ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Work Environment
- Exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures
- Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Frequent bending, lifting, walking, and standing
