Fireplace Installer / Construction Technician
Location: Niceville, FL
Pay: Starting at $22.00 per hour and up, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday (occasional overtime as needed)
A growing local fireplace installation company in Niceville, FL is seeking a skilled and dependable Fireplace Installer / Construction Technician. This is a long-term opportunity with room for advancement as the company continues to expand.
We’re looking for individuals with a construction background who are comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in physically demanding environments. Experience in fireplace installation or maintenance is highly preferred and may qualify for higher starting pay.
Responsibilities

Install and assemble fireplace systems (gas, wood, and electric) according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes

Install venting, chimney liners, gas lines, and fireplace surrounds
-
Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and job specifications accurately
-
Work safely on roofs, ladders, and in attics or outdoor environments
-
Perform maintenance, service, and troubleshooting on existing fireplaces
-
Maintain a clean and organized job site and company vehicle
-
Communicate professionally with homeowners and contractors

(If experienced) Train or supervise team members on installation procedures
Qualifications

Required:

Background in construction, remodeling, HVAC, or related trades

Ability to lift and move heavy materials

Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions year-round

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and a safety-first mindset

Preferred:

Fireplace installation or hearth industry experience

Supervisor or crew lead experience
-
Certifications in construction or mechanical trades
Compensation & Benefits

$18.00-$22.00 per hour, based on experience and skill level

Pay increase for fireplace installation or supervisory experience

Full-time, consistent hours (no seasonal layoffs)
