A local public-sector organization is hiring dependable Substitute Cafeteria Workers to provide coverage on an as-needed basis. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants flexible daytime work and is available to accept shifts when coverage is needed.
!Background Screening Requirement!
Because this position works within a public-sector environment, selected candidates must successfully complete and meet the requirements of a fingerprint-based background screening to be eligible for this job.
This is an on-call substitute position. Hours are not guaranteed. We are specifically looking for candidates who are serious about being available when contacted for assignments.
What You'll Do
- Assist with basic food preparation and meal service
- Serve food and provide friendly customer service
- Stock food, beverages, and kitchen supplies
- Wash dishes, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Clean and sanitize food preparation and service areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist the kitchen team wherever needed
What We're Looking For
- Dependable and able to report to work when accepting an assignment
- Available for weekday/daytime shifts Monday–Friday- NO weekends- Summers OFF
- Comfortable standing and working on your feet throughout the shift
- Able to work in a fast-paced food-service environment
- Professional, positive, and willing to work as part of a team
- Previous cafeteria, restaurant, hospitality, kitchen, or food-service experience is helpful but not required
- Valid Drivers License
