Facility Maintenance Technician
Location: Deerfield Beach, FL – Full-time
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Start Date: Immediate Hire

Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a dependable and skilled Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team on behalf of a leading employer in the turf and equipment industry. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure all facilities and equipment are clean, safe, and functioning properly through routine maintenance and timely repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repairs in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems across multiple buildings.

  • Maintain cleanliness of the facility grounds, including daily blowing of sidewalks and parking lots.

  • Keep warehouse and shop areas organized and clean (sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, floor scrubbing).

  • Conduct routine building safety and maintenance inspections (daily, weekly, monthly).

  • Inspect and maintain forklifts and other equipment.

  • Maintain and service portable generators, yard tractors, and trailers.

  • Perform painting, drywall patching, and touch-up work as needed.

  • Assist with setup/teardown of furniture and equipment for meetings and events.

  • Deliver and pick up supplies or equipment between local facilities.

  • Participate in storm preparation and cleanup activities.

  • Open and close buildings according to company security protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in general building maintenance (painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical).

  • Basic mechanical knowledge and small equipment troubleshooting experience.

  • Ability to safely operate propane forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to nearby locations as needed (Lake Mary and Jacksonville).

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to work independently.

  • Reliable, flexible, and capable of responding to peak workload demands.

  • High attention to detail with strong communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Must be able to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks related to maintenance work.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Technical trade school or vocational training in facility maintenance preferred.

  • Previous experience in a facility maintenance or repair role highly desired.

  • Training in small engine or equipment repair is a plus.
