CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (CSR) – FLOORING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

On Behalf Of: A Local Flooring & Building Products Company
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
Pay: Negotiable – Starting at $22/hr (based on experience)


POSITION OVERVIEW

Express Employment Professionals in Fort Lauderdale is recruiting on behalf of a local flooring and building products company seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative (CSR).

This role is not entry-level. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in the flooring industry and hands-on experience using NetSuite in a fast-paced order processing environment. The CSR will serve as a key point of contact for customers, handling orders from inquiry through fulfillment while supporting sales and logistics teams.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process and manage customer orders efficiently using NetSuite (Oracle) in a high-volume environment

  • Provide professional customer support via phone, email, and in person

  • Deliver expert-level product knowledge related to flooring materials and building products

  • Review purchase orders, verify availability, activate orders, and send confirmations

  • Assist customers with pricing, product availability, substitutions, and alternatives

  • Partner closely with assigned sales representatives to support customer accounts

  • Prepare quotes for bulk and custom flooring orders

  • Coordinate with internal teams on shipping, returns, and order status issues

  • Accurately collect, record, and reconcile customer payments

  • Perform daily closing duties including:

    • Closing credit card systems

    • Counting and balancing cash

    • Running and reviewing NetSuite reports

    • Verifying totals and submitting end-of-day documentation

  • Open new customer accounts with management approval

  • Maintain accurate customer records, order history, and documentation

  • Identify upsell opportunities and recommend complementary flooring products


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVES)

  • 2–5 years of experience in the flooring industry (REQUIRED)

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on NetSuite (Oracle) experience (REQUIRED)

  • 5–10 years of customer service experience, preferably in flooring, construction, or building materials

  • Experience with order processing, invoicing, and logistics coordination

  • Bilingual – English/Spanish (REQUIRED)

  • High school diploma or equivalent

⚠️ Candidates without flooring industry experience or NetSuite experience will not be considered.
