Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Refrigeration Mechanic to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial refrigeration systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration systems including walk-in coolers, freezers, refrigerated prep tables, and custom stainless-steel equipment.

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on refrigeration units to ensure proper functioning and efficiency.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Braze and solder refrigeration lines and components as required.

Maintain records of repairs, service reports, and parts used.

Ensure compliance with all applicable safety codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure equipment meets design and functional specifications.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration.

EPA 608 certification required.

Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, HVAC components, and control systems.

Proficient with tools, gauges, and testing equipment commonly used in the trade.

Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Must be able to lift heavy equipment and work in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:

Full-time, on-site position in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.

May involve standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) required as per safety guidelines.
