Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Polisher and Finisher to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing metal surfaces for finishing, ensuring a smooth and clean surface prior to painting or powder coating. This role involves grinding, sanding, polishing, and inspecting metal components to meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Polish and finish various metal surfaces using tools such as grinders, sanders, and polishing wheels

Remove welds, burrs, rust, and other surface imperfections from metal parts

Prepare metal surfaces for painting, powder coating, or other finishes
-
Perform detailed inspections to ensure quality and consistency

Follow technical drawings, blueprints, or work orders as needed

Maintain a clean and organized workstation and ensure tools are in good condition

Assist in other areas of the shop or production floor as needed
-
Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards at all times
Qualifications:
-
Prior experience in metal polishing, finishing, or fabrication required

Knowledge of metal types and surface preparation techniques
-
Ability to use hand tools, grinders, and other finishing equipment
-
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
-
Team-oriented with good communication skills

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Preferred Experience:

Experience with aluminum, stainless steel, or custom metalwork

Familiarity with prepping for industrial painting or powder coating
