Job Full Description

We are partnered with a medical office hiring for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in anatomical knowledge, experience with trigger point therapy, and a patient-centered approach to care. This position involves direct patient interaction, assisting in treatment plans, and collaborating with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care

  • Implement individualized treatment plans as developed by the supervising Physical Therapist

  • Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, manual therapy, and other modalities

  • Educate patients and families on recovery techniques and injury prevention

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Track and document patient progress accurately

  • Communicate any changes or concerns to the supervising PT

  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to evaluate and adjust care plans

Collaboration & Communication

  • Coordinate with occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and other providers

  • Maintain strong, compassionate communication with patients and their families

Facility & Equipment Management

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment

  • Ensure therapy equipment is sanitized and in good working condition

Professional Growth

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education

  • Assist with training and mentoring students or interns as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

  • Active PTA license in the state of Florida

  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred)

  • Proven ability in acute care, trigger point therapy, and therapeutic techniques

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work well in a collaborative team environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/move patients

  • Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday

  • Weekends as needed

  • Flexible schedule available

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay: $26.00 – $30.00/hour
