We are partnered with a manufacturing company in Sarasota, Florida hiring for a Production and Machine Maintenance Technician. This person is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the production facility by performing routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring minimal downtime. The technician will also support production activities to ensure equipment runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment and machinery.

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues on equipment.

  • Assist with machine setups, changeovers, and adjustments to support production runs.

  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements or replacements as needed.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, documentation, and equipment history records.

  • Collaborate with production operators and supervisors to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.

  • Follow and enforce all safety protocols and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.

  • Support root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

  • Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades.

  • Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.

  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical school certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or related field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role.

  • Experience with mechanical systems, pneumatic and hydraulic components, and basic electrical troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with PLC systems and industrial automation is a plus.

  • Previous experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, food, or chemical) is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM 

Pay Rate: $21-$22/hour
