Job Full Description

We are partnered with a non-profit in Sarasota hiring for a temporary Holiday Program Assistant from November 12th through December 23rd for about 30-40 hours per week. This individual will assist with the coordination of special events and activities, including the annual holiday gift drive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support organization and operations of the holiday gift program, including receiving, moving, inspecting, and sorting gift packages.

  • Track, store, and distribute packages according to guidelines.

  • Assist with caregiver pickups and sponsor drop-offs.

  • Maintain accurate data entry and reports using Word and Excel.

  • Manage program wish lists and schedules.

  • Maintain event space (setup, breakdown, cleanliness, organization).

  • Serve as runner/point of contact and monitor facility security during events.

  • Support volunteers and provide frequent updates to the program manager.

  • Represent the organization professionally in person, virtually, and by phone.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written).

  • Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

  • Ability to remain calm and effective in emergencies.

  • Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills.

Physical Demands

  • Requires lifting/moving packages (up to 50 lbs occasionally).

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Must manage multiple priorities and work in varied environments, sometimes under pressure.

Pay Rate: $20/hour
