Job Full Description
The Production Technician will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and soldering components for medical devices and related equipment. This role requires attention to detail, strong manual dexterity, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical and electronic components according to work instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
- Perform precision wiring, crimping, and soldering using hand tools and small equipment.
- Inspect assemblies for accuracy, quality, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Test completed assemblies to verify functionality and reliability.
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve assembly or design issues.
- Follow all safety protocols, cleanroom requirements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or production (medical device or electronics industry preferred).
- Proficiency in wiring, soldering, and use of hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity for small part assembly.
- May require occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $21-$24/hour
