Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 annually (based on experience)
We are currently hiring a Tax Accountant for a growing, client-focused accounting firm in Sarasota. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working closely with individuals and small businesses while being part of a supportive, small-team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review individual, business (S-Corp, C-Corp, LLC, Partnership), and trust tax returns

Provide tax planning strategies and strategic guidance to clients

Assist clients with IRS correspondence and audit support

Maintain accurate financial records and documentation

Stay current on federal and state tax law changes

Utilize accounting and tax software such as QuickBooks, Drake, and related systems

Manage multiple client accounts and meet filing deadlines

Communicate professionally with clients via phone, email, and in person

Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality client service
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA or EA certification preferred (or actively working toward certification)

Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation and planning

Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes

Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office
