We are working with a growing technology-focused organization in Sarasota that is seeking a detail-oriented Staging, Kitting & Logistics Specialist (Part-Time) to support device deployment and logistics operations.
Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week; flexible (option for 2 full days or shorter shifts throughout the week)
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
Position Summary:
The Staging, Kitting & Logistics Specialist is responsible for preparing, configuring, packaging, shipping, and tracking tablet devices used in field operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring quality and accuracy throughout the deployment process.
Key Responsibilities:
Device Staging & Configuration
- Enroll and configure mobile devices using a Mobile Device Management (MDM) system
- Apply required applications, system settings, and security configurations
- Test devices for functionality and connectivity prior to deployment
Kitting & Packaging
- Prepare devices by labeling, kitting, and packaging according to specifications
- Ensure all items are packaged securely and meet quality standards
Shipping & Logistics
- Generate shipping labels, documentation, and tracking information
- Monitor shipments and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely delivery
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate records of devices, accessories, and related equipment
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with audits and tracking
Vendor & Team Coordination
- Communicate with vendors regarding orders, returns, and replacements
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet project and deployment timelines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, device staging, or similar roles
- Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms preferred
- Experience using shipping software and working with carriers
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
