We are working with a well-known hospitality and event venue in Sarasota that is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to support high-volume event operations.
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 25–30 hours per week (Sundays required)
Compensation: $20/hour
Assignment Type: Seasonal role with potential for longer-term opportunity based on performance and business needs
Position Summary:
The Assistant Manager will support hospitality and bar operations during large-scale weekly events, helping ensure a smooth, high-quality guest experience. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in high-volume hospitality who is comfortable leading staff, managing operations, and working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise bartenders and bar support staff during events
- Oversee bar operations to ensure efficient and high-quality service
- Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies
- Assist with staff scheduling and coordination
- Reconcile POS reports and assist with closing procedures
- Maintain a professional, organized, and guest-focused environment
- Support light administrative tasks during the week as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality management or supervisory roles
(restaurant, bar, hotel, or event environment preferred)
- Experience working in high-volume settings
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to stay organized and perform under pressure
- Flexible availability, including Sundays
