We are working with a well-established wholesale distribution company in Sarasota that is seeking a reliable CDL A or B Delivery Driver to join their team.
Schedule: Full-time (hours may vary based on delivery routes)
Compensation: $25/hour
Position Summary:
The CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering materials to customer locations, job sites, and other facilities. This role requires a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service, as well as the ability to work independently throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations
- Load, secure, and transport materials to various delivery locations
- Verify shipping documentation and ensure order accuracy
- Unload materials at delivery sites and obtain customer signatures
- Collect payments when required and resolve delivery discrepancies
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle
- Assist with loading and pickups from vendors or other locations as needed
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during deliveries
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL A or B license
- Minimum age of 21
- Clean driving record that meets company insurance requirements
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and DOT regulations
- Ability to lift and move materials as needed
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications:
- Hazmat endorsement (if applicable)
