Picker / Packer (Forklift Experience Required)
Location: Sarasota, FL
Pay: $17/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Type: Temporary (through summer)
Position Overview
We are hiring Picker/Packers to support a busy parts warehouse during a seasonal increase in orders. This is a fast-paced role that requires accuracy, attention to detail, and prior forklift experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, and prepare 500+ order lines daily with high accuracy
- Pull and stage customer orders, including service and pick-up orders
- Accurately check part numbers and match orders before shipment
- Pack items securely to prevent damage and ensure efficient shipping
- Process shipments using UPS/FedEx systems
- Assist with receiving, labeling, and putting away inventory
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment as needed
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience required (picking/packing preferred)
- Forklift experience required (sit-down and/or stand-up)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work at a fast pace
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Basic computer and math skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movement
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse
