A growing metal manufacturing company is seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver / Delivery Driver to transport materials, including standing seam products, to customers and job sites throughout the region. This position is responsible for ensuring safe, accurate, and on-time deliveries while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving record, excellent customer service skills, and experience handling construction or building materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport materials and standing seam products to customer locations and job sites.
• Load and unload materials while ensuring products are handled properly to prevent damage.
• Maintain delivery schedules and complete deliveries in a timely manner.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Verify delivery information and obtain customer signatures when required.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and job site personnel.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, inspection records, and related documentation.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, safety concerns, or delivery issues to management.
• Assist with warehouse and material handling duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL required.
• DOT certification and compliance knowledge required.
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices.
• Ability to operate delivery trucks and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with customers.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively.
• Experience delivering construction, roofing, or building materials is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to load and unload materials throughout the workday.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive for extended periods.
