Warehouse Clerk – Flooring Company
Position Overview
The Warehouse Clerk supports daily warehouse operations by receiving, organizing, and distributing flooring materials such as hardwood, laminate, vinyl, carpet, and tile. The role ensures accurate inventory, timely order fulfillment, and a clean, safe warehouse environment. This position is essential to keeping installers, sales teams, and customers supplied with the correct materials on schedule.
Responsibilities

Receive incoming shipments, inspect materials for damage, and verify quantities against purchase orders.

Organize and store flooring products in designated warehouse locations.

Pick, pack, and stage orders for installers, delivery drivers, and customer pickups.

Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks or forklifts (training provided if needed).

Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and proper documentation.

Keep warehouse aisles clean, safe, and compliant with company standards.

Assist with preparing materials for job-site deliveries.

Communicate with sales, customer service, and installation teams to resolve product or order issues.

Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or equipment concerns promptly.
Required Qualifications

Experience in warehouse, distribution, or material-handling environments.

Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and handle large, heavy flooring boxes.

Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping systems.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Forklift experience or willingness to be trained.
