Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable, personable, and professional Customer Sales & Service Representative to join our distribution team. This role is essential in maintaining strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service, managing orders, and supporting day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively, and is comfortable working both in an office environment and occasionally in a warehouse setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Manage and respond to customer emails regarding orders, product inquiries, and service needs
- Follow up with customers regarding order status, changes, and confirmations
- Enter, process, and track orders accurately using internal systems (SAP preferred)
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure order accuracy and timely fulfillment
- Assist in the warehouse when needed, including locating or verifying orders
- Operate a sit-down forklift safely and as required
- Maintain clear communication with team members and management
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, sales support, or a distribution environment preferred
- Experience with SAP is highly preferred
- Ability to operate a sit-down forklift (certification preferred or willingness to obtain)
- Strong phone skills with excellent customer service and phone etiquette
- Proficient in basic computer skills (email, order entry systems, etc.)
