Line Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift (Ammonia & HVAC Certified)
Location: Tampa 33614, FL
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM–12:30 AM)
Status: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Pay: $100K-$120K Annual Salary based on experience
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
About the Role
Seeking a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic to support production by maintaining and repairing equipment, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC systems, boilers, and utilities. Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production lines and utilities

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and ammonia refrigeration issues

Maintain boilers, cooling towers, compressors, pumps, and sensors

Support production with setups, changeovers, and operator assistance

Complete maintenance logs and follow GMPs, OSHA, and safety protocols

Train junior mechanics; manage spare parts inventory

Prioritize work orders based on urgency and production needs
Requirements
-
Bilingual English/Spanish required

Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills

Experience with ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, and boiler systems

Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools

Knowledge of NFPA 70E safety standards

Proficiency with maintenance software (e.g., MaintainX)
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED; technical certifications preferred

3–5 years manufacturing maintenance experience

5+ years ammonia/HVAC experience

Must hold valid Ammonia Refrigeration and HVAC certifications (Florida)

Valid driver’s license; ability to travel up to 25%
Physical Requirements

Lift up to 50 lbs; frequent standing, bending, climbing
