Job Full Description
We are seeking an experienced Prep Cook to join a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of culinary and food preparation experience and be comfortable working efficiently in a busy kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and chef specifications
- Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion food items
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Assist cooks and kitchen staff during service as needed
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of prepared items
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Prep Cook in a high-volume kitchen
- Strong knife skills and food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
