Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician with specialized experience in fountain motor systems and water feature electrical components. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems with a focus on motors, pumps, and controls for fountains and decorative water features. The ideal candidate has a strong electrical background, and a working knowledge of mechanical systems associated with fountains.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures related to fountain and water feature systems.

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with fountain motors, pumps, lighting, and control panels.

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on fountain electrical components to ensure safe and optimal performance.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams related to fountain systems.

  • Collaborate with landscaping, plumbing, and engineering teams on coordinated maintenance and installation projects.

  • Monitor and maintain water feature timers, GFCI outlets, breakers, and automated control systems.

  • Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed.

  • Provide emergency repairs and support during power outages or system malfunctions.

  • Recommend upgrades or replacements for outdated or failing electrical components.


Requirements:

  • Valid electrician’s license or certification (state or local, as required).

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an electrician, with at least 1–2 years focused on fountain motors or similar pump-driven systems.

  • Strong knowledge of single-phase and three-phase motor systems, pump controls, and underwater lighting.

  • Proficiency in using electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment.

  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

  • Must be able to lift heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs), climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

  • Understanding of water feature systems, hydraulics, and general plumbing a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), VFDs, and automated water systems.

  • Background in commercial or resort water features.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus depending on location.
