Electrical Maintenance Technician
Covington, GA
Starting Payrate: $28-29/hr. BOE
Hours: Rotating Shift
7am to 7pm - 2 days on, 2 days off
Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Troubleshoot DC & AC Drives, DC & AC Motors, plc's and control circuits.
- Read and understand drawings (P&ID's, control diagrams, wiring diagrams)
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and start-up of new equipment.
- Occasional new wiring installations where running conduit is required.
- Perform recordkeeping and administrative duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Associate degree or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school.
- 3-5 years related experience and/or training.
- Physical demands of employee require to sit, climb, or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
