Hiring: Senior Commercial Estimator in Marietta (DIRECT HIRE)
Department: Estimating
Reporting To: Manager, Estimator
Location: Marietta
Travel Requirements: Less than 15%
Position Type: Full time
Job Summary:
We seek a team-oriented, detail-focused Senior Estimating professional with experience in the commercial flooring (preferred) or commercial construction industry. The ideal candidate is passionate and detail oriented, with strong time management skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with other members of the team in supporting Project Managers with the bid process and project flooring installation. He/she is energized by a fast-paced environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
? Analyze documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
? Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service
? Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates
? Manage the estimating process from start to finish on multiple concurrent projects
? Provide consultation, coordination, customer service and support to our customers and internal personnel
? Maintain detailed, organized records of bid documents, drawings, correspondence, and other project specific information
? Assist in the bid process and project flooring installation
? Stay up-to-date on industry trends, construction materials, and labor costs to ensure competitiveness in bidding
? Review other estimators work product for accuracy, including providing corrective guidance as needed.
? Utilize extensive knowledge background to assist other estimators with questions pertaining to software usage, plan reading, and product knowledge.
? Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
? High School Diploma/GED or above
? Ability to grasp 2D depictions and transform them into 3D mental models
? Previous estimating experience in commercial flooring or commercial construction 1 | Page

? Knowledge of all types of flooring material and installation methods is strongly preferred
? Ability to read blueprints, do take-offs, etc.
? Project management and/or contract knowledge or experience is preferred
? Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
? Self- motivated, detail oriented, ability to multi-task, strong time management
? Robust problem solving skills
? Effective business software skills. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
? Experience using digitizing software; RFMS MEASURE knowledge is a plus
