Bilingual Equipment Parts Specialist & Sales

Pay:  $23/hour

Hours:  F/T- M-F

 

Job Description:
This Position is for a bilingual English/ Spanish Concrete Pump parts coordinator/sales that Waits on customers and solicits additional sales through phone, fliers and social media engines; charges out merchandise and makes necessary entries to the inventory control system utilizing Quickbooks and Microsoft program; distributes special order parts; receives parts / equipment; maintains shelf stock; Drive the forklift and company vehicles to load, stock, pick up parts and supplies at local vendors and suppliers as needed. Maintain the shop / warehouse clean, organized and safe working environment to protect oneself and others in accordance with all applicable company guidelines and safety rules.
Secondary work assists the head mechanic/Equipment manager in maintaining, repairing, and keeping in consistent working order all concrete pumping equipment/engines and work repair orders.
Principal Responsibilities:

Wait on customer by:
Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers by providing accurate, meaningful, courteous and timely responses to their questions or concerns.
• Greeting customers promptly and courteously.
• Answer telephone promptly and courteously. Does not leave customers on hold.
• Must have basic typing and writing skills.
• Must be able to add,subtract,multiply and divide.
• Must be able to work independently
• Must pursue personal development opportunities and commit to remaining current within the field of work.
Properly identifying needed items, using parts catalogs,manufacturer's website and or consulting head mechanic;
• Keep customer addresses, phone numbers, etc up to date in the computer and folders organized with equipment serial numbers, parts and repairs records;
• Attempting sales of additional needed or related parts or accessories
• Locating and obtaining merchandise, if it is a stocked item
• Filling customer’s wants for out-of-stock or non-stocked merchandise
• Making certain that the technician or customer receives the proper part on time as promised – call customers for parts pick-up and deliver parts if necessary.
• Properly tracking lost sales

Charge out merchandise by:
• Looking up current prices by part number
• Completing required documents before disbursing parts
• Perform inventory quarterly
• Entering all necessary information in inventory control system records
• Runs credit card authorizations.

Distribute special ordered parts by:
• Recording and entering special orders
• Following through to installation or delivery to customer
Receive orders / parts by:
• Counting quantity received to match packing slip, seeing that the defective merchandise is tagged properly with date and correct numbers
• Placing material in warranty parts bins area as required
Maintain shelf stock by:
• Contributes information for stock orders.
• Returning all unsold merchandise to stock
• Checks in parts as received, matches packing list to parts order.
• Puts away received parts in proper bins, locations.
• Noting discrepancies between inventory records and shelf quantities
• Contribute to planning the reduction of slow moving or obsolete parts.
Keep counters/shop clean and neat by:
• Keeping countertops clean
• Keeping areas behind and under counters clean of parts or debris
• Maintaining displays in counter areas, as required
• Performing housekeeping duties in counter areas as required
Assist Head Mechanic:
• Utilize forms to accurately inspect, build, track, and complete work orders repairs including the tracking of time (labor hours) and charging out parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance / Oil changes per schedule.
• Drive the Forklift and possibly company vehicles to unload, stock and pick up parts at local vendors, dealers and suppliers as needed.
• Must be able to assist head mechanics to perform tasks & repairs as needed.
• Cross-train with other departments to better serve the customers.
Other Employee items:
• Maintains a neat, professional appearance.
• Maintains consistent attendance record.
• Keeps the time clock up to date, turns in vacation/sick/personal slips in writing to office manager..
• Knows all required store opening and closing procedures.
