Delivery Driver
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver products, materials, and equipment to customers and job sites.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload deliveries while ensuring products arrive in excellent condition.
- Verify orders before departure and confirm deliveries with customers upon arrival.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required.
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse personnel, and customers regarding delivery schedules or delays.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at every delivery location.
- Assist with warehouse duties, stocking, inventory, and loading/unloading when deliveries are not scheduled.
- Follow all company policies, traffic laws, and applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
