Front of House
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival.
- Receive garments for dry cleaning, laundering, alterations, and specialty services.
- Accurately inspect, tag, and document customer items.
- Enter customer and order information into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Explain available services, pricing, turnaround times, and garment care recommendations.
- Process customer payments, issue receipts, and balance the cash drawer as required.
- Retrieve completed orders and verify garments before returning them to customers.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, pricing, and services.
- Notify customers when orders are ready for pickup, if applicable.
- Maintain an organized and clean front counter, lobby, and customer service area.
- Assist with organizing incoming and completed orders to ensure accurate storage and retrieval.
- Communicate customer requests or special garment care instructions to the production team.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Assist with general housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
