Immediate Need- MIG Production Welder (2nd Shift)
We are actively hiring 6-8 MIG Production Welders for our client in Forest Park. This role focuses on fabrication welding in a fast-paced production environment, working with thin-gauge metal while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Required Qualifications
- Strong MIG welding experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Experience welding thin-gauge metal
- Ability to read blueprints, welding specifications, and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate of a welding trade school or vocational welding program
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding and fabrication of metal equipment and structures
- Read job specifications and blueprints to determine welding requirements
- Inspect work for accuracy and quality
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Follow company safety policies and PPE requirements
- Assist in other production-related duties as needed
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 2+ years of related welding experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a manufacturing environment
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and working around moving machinery
Interview Process
Candidates must successfully complete a weld test during the interview. Applicants should bring:
- Welding helmet
- Welding sleeves
- Steel-toed boots/shoes
