Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate
Work with our client in a fast-paced bonded Container Freight Station (CFS) warehouse. This role combines forklift operation, warehouse responsibilities, inventory management, shipping documentation, and customs compliance. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a small, multitasking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.
- Load, unload, stage, and organize cargo from containers and trucks.
- Verify incoming and outgoing freight against shipping documents.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, data entry, and cycle counts.
- Process Bills of Lading (BOLs), Delivery Orders (DOs), and dispatch paperwork.
- Coordinate driver check-ins, dock assignments, and freight releases.
- Ensure compliance with CBP, USDA, bonded warehouse, and security requirements.
- Report cargo discrepancies, shortages, overages, or damage.
- Support customs inspections and maintain warehouse security standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-compliant forklift certification.
- 2+ years of forklift experience in a warehouse, logistics, or freight environment.
- Experience with shipping documents, including BOLs and Delivery Orders.
- Strong computer and data-entry skills.
- Understanding of freight operations and driver dispatch processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Customs Bonded Warehouse or CFS environment.
- Knowledge of customs documentation and in-bond shipments.
- Familiarity with C-TPAT security standards.
- Experience with CargoWise and Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work on your feet throughout the shift, and safely handle freight in a warehouse environment.
