Temporary Professional Tax Preparer - $25.00 per hour
Express is looking for a reliable Professional Tax Preparer for one of our great Canton clients. The role will include
- Conduct in-depth client interviews using supplied checklists and knowledge of tax law.
- Prepare complex individual and business income tax returns including:
- 1040 with all required forms and schedules.
- Multiple state returns including non-resident, part-year and full year resident returns.
- Carefully review your completed returns for errors.
- Answer tax questions for clients.
- Conduct research on tax questions/issues related to client returns.
- Confer with and assist co-workers on tax research.
Ideal candidates will be a CPA or college degree
Job highlights:
- Make client appointments.
- Assemble and collate completed tax returns.
- Answer telephone, direct calls, take messages.
- Greet arriving clients.
- Maintain tax return log.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- College degree with appropriate tax preparation education.
- CPA or Enrolled Agent in good standing, or equivalent professional tax preparation experience.
- Basic typing skills (40 wpm).
- Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Basic numeric keypad skills (7500 kph).
- Excellent people skills.
- IRS PTIN in good standing.
- Minimum 24 hours CPE annually.
