Logistics Coordinator
**MUST BE IN ILLINOIS**
Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Pay: $25/hr
About the Role:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, professional Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team in a remote capacity. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing daily transportation activities, tracking shipments, and ensuring seamless communication between carriers, customers, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and track domestic freight shipments from pickup to delivery.

Monitor shipment statuses and proactively communicate any delays, ETAs, or issues.

Manage and verify documentation such as BOLs, PODs, manifests, and invoices.

Communicate with carriers, drivers, and customers in a professional, courteous manner.

Update and maintain shipment records and documentation in TMS systems (Oracle TMS, SAP, Blue Yonder, or similar platforms).

Calculate and process accessorial fees (e.g., lumper fees, detention).

Support internal reporting and data analysis using Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, basic formulas).

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to resolve shipment or inventory-related concerns.
Requirements:
-
Previous logistics or transportation experience required (3+ years preferred).

Strong familiarity with key logistics terms and documents: BOL, POD, manifest, ETA, lumper fee, etc.

Experience working with TMS systems such as Oracle TMS, SAP, Blue Yonder, Trucking Hub, or comparable.

Moderate Excel skills — must be comfortable with formulas, lookups, and spreadsheets.

Exceptional phone and email communication skills — polished, professional, and courteous.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to work independently and maintain accountability in a fully remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in third-party logistics (3PL), freight brokerage, or carrier operations.

Familiarity with dispatching or load tracking software.

Ability to problem-solve under pressure and think critically on the fly.
