Job Full Description
Our client is a fast-growing real estate and construction company based in Cahokia, Illinois who is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant. There expanding operations demand a detail oriented and experienced accounting professional to take ownership of their financial processes. The Full Charge Bookkeeper/Accountant will manage all aspects of their accounting operations. This is a critical, high responsibility role and the sole accounting position within the company. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely financial reporting, and overseeing daily accounting tasks. You will collaborate with and external Certified Public Accounting firm for support and guidance.
Location: Cahokia, IL
Shift: Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
Pay: $65,000/yr – 80,000/yr, BOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare and post journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Conduct month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and internal reports
- Monitor and manage cash flow and bank reconciliations
- Oversee construction job costing and work in progress reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal CPA firm for tax preparation, audits, and strategic planning
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation for all transactions
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in full-cycle accounting
- Accounting Degree highly preferred
- Construction accounting experience is required
- QuickBooks Pro experience is required
