Rough Carpenter / Delivery Associate

A respected local company in Joliet is looking to hire a Rough Carpenter with delivery experience immediately. This is a hands-on role that combines skilled carpentry work with client-facing delivery duties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build custom crates and boxes for machinery, furniture, and irregularly sized items
- Load, deliver, and unload shipments using a non-CDL box truck
- Lift and move heavy furniture and materials safely
- Engage professionally with clients at homes or businesses during deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- Experience with rough carpentry or woodworking
- Must be able to drive a non-CDL box truck
- Comfortable lifting heavy furniture
- Must be personable, reliable, and customer-service oriented
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Must pass a background check
Schedule:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- Typical shifts: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Overtime available based on workload
- Schedule can vary slightly depending on employee needs
Pay:
$25–$30 per hour, based on experience
Temp-to-hire opportunity after 12 weeks
