We are seeking skilled CNC Tube Bender Operators to join our 2nd shift team. This is a temp‑to‑hire position offering long‑term stability, growth, and full union benefits once hired by the company.
Position Details
Shift: 2nd Shift
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Orientation: First 5 days on 1st shift
Immediate hiring decisions following interviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC electric tube benders safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
- Use measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
- Perform accurate setups to meet quality and production standards
- Conduct intermediate shop math calculations (trigonometry a plus)
- Inspect parts for quality and compliance
- Maintain accurate production documentation and ERP records
- Support workflow, communicate with incoming/outgoing shifts
- Load/unload materials using cranes or material handling equipment
- Perform basic machine care and light maintenance as directed
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; technical training or an Associate’s degree preferred
- 2–5 years of CNC tube bending or manufacturing experience
- Proficiency with inspection tools: tape measure, calipers, micrometers
- Ability to read/interpret blueprints accurately
- Intermediate math skills; trigonometry is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and safety‑first mindset
- Comfortable in a physically demanding environment (lifting up to 60 lbs.)
- English comprehension required for safety and communication
- Spanish‑speaking resources available onsite
This is a skilled role — not general labor.
Work Environment
- Production floor with noise, vibration, and variable temperatures
- Standing, lifting, bending throughout the shift
- PPE provided:
- Hi‑vis vest
- 1 pair of steel‑toe boots with metatarsal guards
- Prescription safety glasses (if needed)
- Lockers and company‑paid uniforms provided upon direct hire
- No cell phones permitted on the shop floor
Pre‑Employment Requirements
- 4‑panel rapid drug test
- No THC for pre‑employment; post‑accident testing applies
- 7‑year, all‑county criminal background check
- Must wear steel‑toe boots with metatarsal guards
