Trailer Technician - Bolingbrook/Romeoville, IL
Starting Pay: $20+/hour (Based on Experience and Skill Level)
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Trailer Technician to join our growing team. This position supports a newly secured contract with a major 3PL provider, performing on-site trailer inspections and light trailer repairs at a client location. Technicians will primarily work from the client's yard and serve as the first point of contact for trailer maintenance needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform DOT and preventive trailer inspections
- Identify and document trailer defects and repair needs
- Complete minor trailer repairs and maintenance as qualified
- Communicate inspection findings with management and client personnel
- Maintain accurate service records and inspection reports
- Ensure work is completed safely and professionally
Qualifications:
- Trailer maintenance experience preferred but not required
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently in a yard environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and safety practices
