Customer Service Representative
Pay: $15–$17/hr (based on experience) Work Location: In person
Schedule: Full‑time; flexible hours (7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 7:30 AM–3:30 PM)

Our client in Great Lakes, IL is seeking a reliable and customer‑focused Customer Service Representative to support daily retail and order fulfillment operations. This individual will play an important role in delivering excellent customer service, processing orders, handling stock responsibilities, and assisting with general store operations.
The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys a mix of customer interaction and physical activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide friendly, efficient in‑store and phone-based customer service, including answering questions and assisting with product selection.
- Accurately process sales transactions using a computerized register; accept payments via credit card, vouchers, or other approved methods.
- Pick, pack, and prepare email, phone, and online orders for customer pickup or delivery.
- Restock merchandise, maintain organized displays, and ensure pricing labels are current.
- Assist with setting up promotional signage and product displays to support sales initiatives.
- Perform general store upkeep and cleaning as assigned.
- Support shipping/receiving functions, including unloading, sorting, and organizing inventory.
- Maintain accurate filing and documentation of purchase orders and related paperwork.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to enter and review information accurately.
- Ability to remain calm, courteous, and focused during periods of high customer volume.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office applications, and basic computer functions.
- Comfortable researching vendors and preparing customer quotes as needed.
- Enjoys active, hands-on work — must be able to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Dependable, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for most of the workday.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong customer service mindset and willingness to learn.
