Master HVAC & Boiler Service Technician (Lead)

Location: Lake County, IL
Pay: $80,000 – $120,000 per year

Technical Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 25 years of hands-on HVAC and boiler service experience (required).
• Specialized Boiler Mastery: Extensive expertise in Combi boilers, high-efficiency systems, and traditional water/steam systems.
• Renewable Energy: Advanced experience with geothermal diagnostics, servicing, and installations.
• Commercial & Residential: Expert-level knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and advanced residential zoning.
• Comprehensive Skill Set: Deep proficiency across A/C units, heat pumps, gas furnaces, and steam/water humidifiers.

Key Responsibilities

• Master Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and resolve complex, high-level system issues with precision and efficiency.
• Technical Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert by interpreting blueprints and schematics to guide successful project execution.
• Customer Consultation: Deliver expert recommendations, detailed estimates, and solutions that build long-term client relationships.
• Operational Excellence: Utilize dispatch software effectively while maintaining strict safety, code compliance, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Trade School or college training preferred.
• Tools: Must own a complete set of professional HVAC tools.
• Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with a customer-first approach.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Requirements: Valid driver’s license and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
