Location: Vernon Hills, IL
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM CST
Hours: 40-hour work week
Overtime: Available regularly but not mandatory
Our client is seeking a dependable and motivated Warehouse Order Picker & Packer to join their distribution team in Vernon Hills, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and pack customer orders using a hand cart
- Utilize pallet jacks to move materials
- Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently
- Operate a sit-down forklift
- Operate a cherry picker/order picker with safety harness to retrieve and store materials in warehouse racking (experience preferred but not required)
- Roll and package laminate sheets and other materials
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Accurately follow warehouse procedures and inventory practices
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience with similar duties
- Previous sit-down forklift experience required
- Cherry picker/order picker experience preferred
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (3-4 hours at a time)
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures
- Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible and willing to adapt to changing job duties
