Greenhouse Purchaser/Buyer
Location: Milan, IL
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (hours may vary by season)
Pay: $18–$20/hr to start, with transition into commission

Key Responsibilities

Manage purchasing and inventory levels for greenhouse products, including green and blooming plants

Forecast product needs and make strategic buying decisions based on demand and seasonality

Monitor inventory flow from receiving through sales to maintain proper stock levels

Assist with merchandising and selling products within the greenhouse department

Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient, well‑stocked department
Required Qualifications

Previous experience in buying, purchasing, or inventory management

Background in retail sales or product merchandising

Strong decision‑making skills related to purchasing and inventory levels

Ability to work independently and confidently in a fast‑paced environment

Proven ability to manage product flow from purchasing through sales
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a greenhouse, nursery, or plant‑related environment

Knowledge of green and blooming plants

Prior experience in a fresh department or similar setting
