Material Handler - $20.00 per hour
Location – Northbrook, IL
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a growing manufacturing company in Northbrook, IL to fill a Material Handler position. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to support production through material handling, inventory control, shipping, and receiving operations.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
- Pick, stage, and deliver materials to production areas.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records.
- Package, label, and prepare products for shipment.
- Build crates, pallets, and custom packaging as needed.
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and warehouse organization.
- Follow all safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 years of material handling experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Basic computer skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and work on your feet throughout the shift
