Job Full Description
Wheeling, IL Production Operators to join their team! This is a6/9mo ( with the possibility of extending )
Responsibilities:
- Perform finishing work using grinding tools, hand sanders, knives, and other manual equipment.
- Sharpen corners and edges, buff surfaces, and polish finished parts.
- Load and unload parts into rotating machinery.
- Maintain accurate counts of machined parts.
- Clean, wash, and tumble parts as required.
- Operate grit/sand blasting equipment — training provided!
- Inspect finished parts using visual and manual inspection equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Cross-train in a variety of jobs within the Secondary Department.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday
- Night Shift: 4:30pm-3:00am
- 10-hour shifts
- Flexible start time between 4:30pm-6:00pm
- Occasional weekends may be required
- Must be available for 4-6 weeks of initial training on 1st shift, 6:00am-4:30pm
Pay:
Requirements:
- 1+ year of machine operator experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.
- Basic math skills for counting parts.
- Good manual dexterity in both hands.
- Ability to read English and follow written instructions.
- Ability to work as part of a team and cross-train in different areas.
- Blueprint reading experience preferred.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, or other inspection tools is a plus.
