Accounting Specialist - Temp To Hire
Schaumburg, IL
Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Our staffing agency is partnering with a small manufacturing company in Schaumburg, IL seeking a hands-on Accounting Specialist to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a smaller office environment where you can take ownership of accounting functions and be a key part of the team.
We are not seeking a CPA-level candidate — this role is ideal for someone with strong practical accounting experience, especially in AP/AR, and advanced Excel skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Process vendor invoices and customer billing
- Reconcile accounts and assist with general ledger entries
- Support month-end closing activities
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Prepare reports using Excel
- Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience a plus)
- Strong AP/AR background
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles
- Fluent in Microsoft Excel (formulas, spreadsheets, reporting)
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to work independently in a small team setting
- Korean language skills are a plus (not required)
