Machine Builder / Mechanical Assembler
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $25–$32/hr. based on experience
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Machine Builder / Mechanical Assembler to build and assemble automated machinery and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, the ability to read blueprints, and hands-on experience assembling machines from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and build automated machinery and mechanical equipment
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, drawings, and assembly instructions
- Install mechanical components, pneumatic systems, motors, drives, and other equipment
- Use hand and power tools to complete assembly, drilling, tapping, and fitting
- Measure and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Align, adjust, and test machinery to ensure proper operation
- Troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic issues during the build process
- Make necessary adjustments and modifications to ensure proper fit and function
- Perform basic electrical connections and wiring as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work independently while meeting production and project deadlines
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Machine Builder, Mechanical Assembler, Machine Assembler, or similar role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly experience
- Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with pneumatic systems and mechanical components
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Experience with drilling, tapping, fitting, and alignment
- Basic electrical knowledge is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
Ideal Candidate: A mechanically skilled individual who can take a machine from a blueprint and build, assemble, align, troubleshoot, and test it from start to finish.
