Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembler for a temp-to-hire opportunity with one of our valued manufacturing clients. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, this position is responsible for assembling and packing fabricated metal parts and products in accordance with company specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble various fabricated metal components following written instructions and diagrams.

  • Inspect finished parts to ensure proper functionality and adherence to quality standards.

  • Operate machinery and hand tools to manufacture or repair parts.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to maintain consistency and solve production issues.

  • Identify and handle defective parts per company procedures and report issues to supervisor.

  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail with consistent performance.

  • Ability to follow detailed verbal and written instructions, technical documents, and blueprints.

  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

  • Comfortable using a variety of hand tools and production equipment.

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production or manufacturing setting preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a noisy manufacturing environment.

  • Good vision required, including color differentiation and depth perception.

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods.

  • Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb as needed to access machinery or complete tasks.
