Job Full Description

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Machine Operator for a full-time, temp-to-hire position with a reputable manufacturing company. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Machine Operator will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining production machinery to produce parts according to exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate production machinery such as hobs, presses, boring machines, and similar equipment.

  • Produce parts that meet established tolerances and specifications.

  • Use precision measuring tools to inspect finished parts for quality and cosmetic standards.

  • Keep accurate logs and records of production output and any rejected or defective parts.

  • Conduct pre-use inspections and perform basic machine maintenance and adjustments.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Adhere to safety standards and operational guidelines at all times.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.

  • Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Understanding of or ability to quickly learn production equipment operation.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with OSHA and environmental safety standards.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Self-motivated and able to manage tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1–2 years of experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a noisy industrial environment.

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds as needed.

  • Must be able to bend, stretch, squat, and climb to access machinery components.

  • Capable of standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.
